Our Security Officer's primary duties are to maintain the security, safety, and welfare of both Staff and Customers alike and to safeguard both the client and Interr Security's premises and reputation.
UK Client Director
Yolande has worked in the retail sector since 1993 and joined Interr in 2014. During this time she has held a number of senior management positions in both Monsoon and Oasis and knows first-hand what an excellent security service should look like. Yolande oversees all standards, training, team placement and performance within her sector, ensuring our clients receive the very best service delivery.
Founder / Chairman
Entrepreneur Joachim Ritter founded the company in 1994, having seen an opportunity to provide an innovative service in an industry very much set in its ways. A strong believer that a motivated team is key for a company to excel, he created the current structure to consistently provide the best tailored solutions to Interr’s clients.
Roderick worked for many years in senior management within high-end International retail brands. In 1998, Roderick joined Joachim Ritter to become a founding Director of the interr brand, supplying a guarding solution that addressed the very specific demands of the retail environment. This approach was an instant success and, with a dynamic management team experienced in security, customer service and retail, the company very quickly began to gain a reputation for quality and a high standard of service.
Founder / CEO
With 30 years of senior operational experience, Mick joined the company in 2001. He has been instrumental in re-structuring and streamlining its management team and infrastructure to ensure a holistic yet specific service delivery. Mick’s experience and knowledge of the security sector have been key to the growth of our business, together with his eye for detail and a true understanding of our clients’ requirements.
Chief Financial Officer
Christopher qualified in 2000 with one of the top 10 accountancy firms. After specialising in small/medium sized company accounts, he moved into the field of business strategy including budgeting, management reporting and advising on accounting software and installations. Christopher has been instrumental in ensuring the company’s growth strategy is achieved. Christopher was appointed to the Board of Directors in May 2010.
International Operations Director
Teresa joined interr in January 2015 and oversees our international operations. Together with her team, she supports our international clients and service partners, ensuring that contractual expectations are met and our high level of service is delivered at all times. In addition, she is responsible for the selection and vetting of potential service partners in the UK and overseas. In her previous tenure at a German security consulting company, she worked for multinational clients having specialised in international Due Diligence. Teresa is based in Berlin, Germany.
International Client Manager
Sylvain joined interr in June 2020 as a Client Manager in France, with more than 20 years of experience in the security high-end environment. Sylvain also previously worked as a federal agent for the French federation of close protection and the French federation of shooting of armed professionals. Sylvain’s passion in security is continuously evolving, attaching to an irreproachable and responsive customer service. Sylvain is based in Paris, France.
International Business Development Manager
Chris joined interr in January 2006 to develop clients in Retail & Fashion Design, Corporate, Hospitality and Real Estate Development. Her previous experience has included high-end real estate and executive recruitment in both the USA and the UK.
Her proven strengths lie in excellent lead generation and the ability to chase up new business opportunities and to make them profitable, while developing long-term client relationships that are based on trust and accountability.
Chris’s off-the-clock passions include fund raising for a number of National UK Charities, volunteering in Africa with the volunteer organisation “GVI” for conservation, education and community development.
Director of HR and Compliance
Elena initially started her career with Interr in 2014 and has a lot of experience within retail and security in managing Human Resources, compliance and auditing, development of procedure and policies, TUPE as well as any contractual and legal regulations. Elena and her team support the company in relation to advice on employment law, permits, SIA, maintaining policies and procedures, recruitment and developing training and compliance across the business.
International Client Manager
Gabriela comes from an event-management background and has worked in the security industry since 2008. She joined interr in March 2018 and is based in Cologne, Germany. Gabriela is responsible for some of our key international clients, oversees our daily international operations, and supports with the management of service partners and liaison with local authorities across Europe.
International Client Manager
Jan comes from an investigation background, previously working in both central and local government departments. She moved into the private security industry in 2007 and joined interr in 2018, and brings a wealth of experience in retail, corporate and eventing security. Jan is responsible for our key international clients in Spain, Italy, Sweden & Oslo, overseeing daily operations, managing of our service partners and liaising with local authorities in those regions. Jan is based in Murcia, Spain.
Candice joined interr in 2018 with 8 years of previous experience in top-level business environments. She has a broad knowledge of financial practices, including budget handling, financial forecasting, reconciliations of accounts and payroll. Candice and her team manage all finance and payroll aspects of the our company, which include daily control and management of the finance department, regular reviews of profit and loss, completion of payroll and pension, and client-specific accruals and company assets.
Barry worked for over 40 years in demanding environments worldwide, both military and private security. He has a lot of experience managing multiple contracts at challenging locations simultaneously, from running a combined army cadet force at one of the UK bases, or running the provincial and government elections in the far East. As our Operations Control Centre Director, Barry leads the team to ensure best practices are in place and great customer service is delivered daily to all our stakeholders. Barry joined Interr in November 2021.
Jonathan has 14 years’ experience working in demanding and fast-paced environments, having progressed up the commercial and security ladder after 22 years’ service in the British Army. He has a lot of experience in corporate security, in particular for the oil and gas industry, and close protection. His roles included looking after senior government officials from the British FCO and US State Department as well as high-level corporate businessmen. Jonathan joined interr in 2020.
Ben is a highly skilled Director who comes from the High Court Enforcement career, with a lot of experience in crime prevention and risk management. Ben is also Fellow of the Institute of Paralegals and holds a Degree in Business Law. Ben has an invaluable amount of knowledge and experience when advising our clients on these aspects as well as building strong and lasting relationships.
Smita has been with Interr since 2018 and looks after our high-end luxury retail clients. Smita comes with over 13 years of previous retail experience, managing some very well-known high-end brands. Her passion for retail, building relations and managing big clients makes her be the perfect fit for our luxurious clients. Smita recently also achieved Level 6 CSMp accreditation and is a part of the Assessment Board for ISMI.
